A monumental work by American artist Shepard Fairey (OBEY) will announce the exhibition right from the building's façade. Through a series of striking works, including photographs of the Amazon by the late Sebastião Salgado, and an interactive tour made possible by devices on loan from the Musée des Arts et Métiers, young and old alike will discover the impact of cities in the fight for the planet.

Cities at the heart of global climate action

Over the past ten years, cities around the world have mobilized to implement innovative actions to combat the effects of climate change. These projects, the milestones of the mobilization of local elected officials, are showcased in the exhibition at the heart of an ambitious scenographic display featuring texts by urban planning expert Brent Toderian, which will take visitors on a journey from Paris to Belém, where COP30 will be held in November 2025.

An exhibition designed for children

The entire exhibition has been designed from a child's point of view, including time for discussion with young people from the leisure centers hosted at the Académie du Climat, who created some of the works presented. Moreover, throughout their journey, the younger ones will be guided by Copi, a little character they will also find in the activity booklet provided to them free of charge.

From scientific to artistic visions

Tracing the history of the fight against the effects of climate change and its protagonists, but also focusing on the essential themes of citizen mobilization and ecosystem protection, the exhibition tour is marked by scientific content provided by the Argos collective, C40 and BBC Storyworks, the ARTE channel and the Le Monde newspaper. It is also enriched by the views of contemporary artists on the themes explored, including Sebastião Salgado, Shepard Fairey (OBEY), Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Chris Jordan, Yang Yongliang, Hélène Combal-Weiss and Mary-Lou Mauricio with her collective project Born in… PPM.
